Benefits of our Spa Treatments

Blueberry Facial (included in service price)
The blueberry scrub will brighten and clean your pet's face better than just a normal shampoo. It has natural exfoliating activity and is also hydrating. It has blueberries, aloe vera, avocado, and coconut oil. Not only are these some of the most beneficial fruits and vegetables, but they also have a lot of antioxidants that rejuvenate the appearance of your pet. Pets with excessive tears tend to develop stains and exude a "wet" odor. That wet area serves as a germ pool which often causes skin infections. The blueberry facial can help prevent infection by gently removing the dead skin cells and soothing the underlying skin.

Mud Bath ($20+)
Mud has many benefits for your pet! It can soothe irritations by removing dead irritated skin and can also soothe hot spots. The mud applied to your pets coat during the bath helps moisturize the skin, removes dandruff, exfoliates to remove impurities thus re-building healthier skin and coat.

Paw Balm (included with service)

A bees wax blend made with vitamins and antioxidants that soothes and protects your best friends paw pads from everyday weather, extreme temperatures, pavements, sand, snow, salt, and ice. This natural balm provides protection to improve and prevent paw pads from over drying and cracking.

Flea and Tick Shampoo (Please read *** IMPORTANT NOTE *** in description)
An all-natural shampoo base made with Melaleuca, Cedarwood, and Citronella oils. These natural oils have been known to provide help with repelling flies, mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks all while soothing the itching and irritation which they leave behind. Disclaimer: This is not an effective long-term preventative treatment. Best Friends Pet Spa recommends speaking to your veterinarian to determine the best long-term flea and tick preventative for your BFF.
*** IMPORTANT NOTE *** there is an additional $50 charge for an pet that has an active flea infestation to cover required business costs and time needed to ensure the safety of our other furry friends and to prevent other pets from being infected

***Please Note...Prices are based on size, breed, behavior, time of groom, and coat type/condition. Grooming prices reflect service fee's as well as the travel and convenience of being provided with individualized attention to your special family members in the comforts of home. We do our very best to accurately quote your cost during our "Play Date", with that said please understand it is just an estimate as we are unable to predict the amount of time needed to ensure your furry friend remains relaxed and enjoys his/her spa day. We do our very best to predict the time needed and will quote accordingly, however if your friend needs additional time (that was unexpected and not already pre-calculated in your quote) to remain relaxed, comfortable, and/or special needs catered to, there will be an additional cost of $25 for up to an additional 30 minutes, and then $1 per minute over that additional 30 minutes.

Pre-Groom Training for the Nervous Pup

We believe in building trust and forming a bond with your pet by using only positive reinforcement and a fear free approach! The grooming process can be very scary for many of our furry friends. These training sessions help break down the process into increments allowing your pet the opportunity to not get overwhelmed, have positive experiences, and be offered the time and respect they deserve. We tackle unwanted behaviors, and work with fearful canines (who may have had a rough beginning) to trust again!
$60

Who We Are and What We Do

Picture
We hope to become your pets Best Friend too! I have been Pet Grooming and Canine Training since 2005 and am an experienced Veterinary Technician. I have 2 passions in life, people and animals! I promise nothing less than the best for my furry friends! We pride ourselves on having a positive fear free approach to all animals! We are also very conscious of sensitivity's and have a vested interest in the health and wellbeing of your Best Friend! We use all-natural grooming and cleaning products to lessen the chance of any adverse reactions. We also like to become friends with your pet first, so they are comfortable and happy. This allows them to enjoy their Spa Day! We do this by scheduling a "Play Date" with your pet prior to the groom. Our training service is run the same way as our grooms. We practice only positive reinforcement and DO NOT force ourselves on your animal. We will take our time, build your furry friends trust, and teach you how to get the results you are looking for in a positive way. Because we are so mindful of individual sensitivities, any treats giving to your pet by us is homemade with the option of being grain free!

What can my Pet Expect during his/her Spa Day?

While your pet is with us, they will enjoy a relaxing atmosphere where chamomile is diffused, and tranquil sounds play in the background. During the bath, each new friend will receive a blueberry facial, relaxation massage, and washed with natural shampoo's chosen specific to enhance the health and feel of your BFF's skin and coat. Following the bath, a warm fluff dry, de-shedding, and detangling treatment will be performed. On top of all of this, they will receive an inner ear cleanse, and paw balm with a pad massage to better protect their tootsies. We do not offer any packages or alter this process as we believe in performing Best Practice. Here at Best Friends Pet Spa, we feel all of the above treatments are an essential part of your pet's health and well-being.
