Meet Best Friend
I am the mother of 2 two-legged children and 10 four-legged children (a joyful mix of Canines, Felines, and Equines). I have been pet grooming and dog training for 16 years and am an experienced veterinary technician. I have been mother to several four-legged animals, all rescues, and all with their own set of quirks. They taught me patience, creativity when training, and much knowledge of skin conditions, allergies, and nutrition. I found a passion for these topics and discovered that my skills as a groomer as well as a dog trainer and veterinary technician became stronger once I began learning about and gaining knowledge on these topics. The health and well-being of my pets also improved as changes were made within my home as well as their diet. You see, I had a dog that suffered from severe allergies. Not just contact allergies, but also food allergies. She is the one who fed this passion. My sole focus has always been to keep my children (whether it be 2 or 4 legs) happy, challenged, and comfortable. I have learned to have a balance. An appreciation for both western and holistic medicine. I practice both in my daily life as well as in my work life. I feel that there is a need for both, some things just can't be tackled naturally. We should appreciate the great strides science has made to improve our health and the health of our pets, but let's not forget nature, our history, and our roots as there is definitely something to that too!
